5 Tips for World of Concrete 2019

Starting January 21st, the 2019 World of Concrete exhibition takes over Vegas. It boasts an impressive number of seminars, product reveals, and participants because it is the largest concrete industry event. The sheer size of the event can be an overwhelming experience, so to make it easier, here are five tips for World of Concrete 2019.

Tip One: Wear the Right Shoes

World of Concrete is an all-day event, often with evening dinners, cocktail hours, and more. At the end of the day, your feet and back will hurt if you aren’t wearing the right shoes. Pack (and wear) shoes meant for all day walking. And if you don’t have a pair, stop by your local walking or running store, they should be able to help you get set up with appropriate footwear. This is an all week event; no one wants to be out of commission after the first day.

Tip Two: Bring Back up Power

The convention center will have a limited number of plugs, and tens of thousands of people attending. You’ll need your phone to find your friends or family, possibly navigate the convention center, write down information, look up information, and more. As such, you’ll want to make sure you have enough juice for your device. Some booths will give away power packs, some might have charging stations, but it’s always nice to have that peace of mind. External power packs are relatively cheap and last a long time.

Tip Three: Check the Schedule

It’s happened to everyone who goes to trade shows and conferences. You’re excited about a speaker, class, or panel. You plan your day around making sure you see them. You show up 15 minutes early to ensure you get a great seat, only to realize that it’s been canceled. Of course, your day isn’t ruined, but there might have been other events you would’ve selected if you’d known that morning. Checking the schedule can help ensure you don’t show up to a canceled event or the wrong room.

Tip Four: Drink Lots of Water

The temperature range is low 40s to low 60s, which is pretty cool. But Las Vegas is a desert and very drying. It’s important to drink lots of water to prevent dehydration. It is also a good idea to invest in sunscreen if you’re going to spend any time outside. Just because it is cold doesn’t mean you can’t get a sunburn.

Tip Five: Check Out Booth #N1772

Saving our best tip for last, don’t forget to stop by booth N1772. eSUB Construction Software is exhibiting at booth N1772, and this year they’re showcasing their new eSUB Time Kiosk. Kiosk mode offers more security since time entry is from one single tablet. It can also be easier to implement because no one has to download the product to their phones. eSUB Time Kiosk is part of the eSUB Time series that offers individual and kiosk mode depending on your business needs.
