This session will provide effective Construction Management techniques, you will learn how to prevent and/or minimize claims while developing the procedures and documentation required to properly identify, document, prepare, calculate, evaluate, negotiate, and pay valid change orders and claims and not pay the invalid change orders. We will cover the parties’ rights on defective documents, learn about ambiguities, and understand the difference between a conflict and an omission. These techniques apply to public works projects and private commercial projects, and provide valuable insight to increase the profits and protect the bottom line for successful change order and claim negotiations. In addition, SDC will provide insider negotiation tips.
